Auto spares supplier, ZF heralded that it has decided to increase its nexus of investments and support by procuring 90 per cent stake in Simi Reality Motion.
The German-based tech company encompasses only 35 employees in its office and every employee alongside the tech firm possesses years of experiences in designing image-based 3D systems for the analysis and recording of human movement, ZF said in its statement, as reported by the Indian daily news, The Economic Times.
The newly developed interior concepts encompass the possibility of upgrading seating positions wherein the driver can command the car to drive the automobile partially or wholly.
One key to the occupant safety of tomorrow is highly efficient systems for occupant recognition, Head of Integrated Safety at ZF, Norbert Kagerer told the Indian daily news, The Economic Times.
This is precisely the area in which we would like to become stronger through our investment in Simi Reality Motion Systems, with a view to offering integrated safety systems from a single source, Kagerer added.
With the investment in Simi Reality Motion, ZF will increase in proficiency beyond the current occupant safety systems namely seat belts, steering wheels and airbags. Along with the sensor system and other related software, ZF prepares is a top-notch supplier in the automotive safety technology market.
