Valagro is planning to expand in the North

Valagro, an Italian company is looking at expanding its operations to the North either through partnerships or through acquisitions. The Italian company deals with bio-stimulus and speciality nutrients products for agriculture. Valagro manages the world market through a viable commercial and distribution network.
We are presently selling 10 products here for vegetables and fruits. We are planning to launch new products later this year or early next year, addressing the challenges of salinity and products that can help increase uptake of nutrients, Prem Warrier, Chief Operating Officer of Valagro Group told Business Line.
The firm sees a huge potential in the country, which is presently contributing about 5 percent to its global turnover of $150 million, Business Line reported.
The firm has been selling its products in the country for the last 20 years. It also bought a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad two years ago. After the acquisition, it invested about $5.80 million on expansion.
