The Gurgaon-based, a grocery and milk delivery company, Milkbasket has procured Veggie India. The acquisition amount has not been disclosed yet. The acquisition of the Noida-based, online grocery store, Veggie India has been done so as to expand the business over $100,000, as reported by the Indian daily news.
According to the business deal, the entire workforce of Veggie India, including co-founders? JainendraUpadhyay and ShailendraUpadhya will be joining Milkbasket.
The procurement of Veggie India has widened the customer base of Milkbasket to 75,000, a spokesperson at Milkbasket in a statement. The online grocery company, Veggie India, was set up in 2017 and was serving in Ghaziabad and Noida.
The acquisition is in line with our growth plans for 2019 and adds further strength and distribution capabilities to the existing business, said AnantGoel, CEO at Milkbasket, to the Indian daily news.
The startup company, Milkbasket was initiated in 2015 and caters to customers who like to order fresh milk and grocery throughout the day. It takes less than a days time for the company to deliver orders to the customers.
In recent times, many online grocery and milk delivery startups have come up to serve instant delivery services to customers. Many of these startups have lesser transactions comparatively; though, they manage to attract customers with their good services.
