The government-owned electronic company, Keltron has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Unidad for creating GPS-enabled vehicle tracking components.
The MOU has been recently signed between the two companies senior officialsT R Hemalatha, MD of Keltron and Dr Gigi Joseph, MD of Unidad, in front of N Narayan Moorthy, chairperson at Keltron, the company said in a statement as reported by the Indian daily news, Business Standard.
Keltron will produce the components in its production unitKeltron Equipment Complex, which is located at Karakulam. The company will be producing the modules with the help of Unidad Techno Labs and further, along with a buyback agreement on the monthly base.
Keltron is anticipated to release the product by July 2019.
The GPS-enabled vehicle tracking components help to monitor the vehicles 24*7. Further, it gives alerts and real-time based reports from its control panel.
With this product, data can be obtained which will encompass the vehicles location, fuel level and vehicles speed.
