In a bid to strengthen practice in south India, HSA Advocates has announced a merger with Bangalore-based law firm Atman Law Partners.

Atman's Founder Chinmay Mirji will join Bengaluru office of HSA as a partner. He will come along with his team of lawyers, which includes senior associate Sridevi Raghu and associates Vaishali Shah and Charitha V Chinmay.

Mirji has more than 13 years of experience. He has been actively involved in negotiations and transaction advisory roles, in diverse corporate, merger and acquisition and investment transactions covering the entire spectrum of real estate.

Mirji said, "I am excited about merging my practice and team with HSA as this provides me a robust platform and support from the team of extremely talented and passionate partners that will undoubtedly enable me to grow my practice in multiple new dimensions."

Founded by Hemant Sahai in 2003, HSA is a full-service law firm. It has a presence in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. The company's key practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, banking and finance, projects, infrastructure and energy, tax, regulation and policy.

Sahai said, "Chinmay and his colleagues add an important dimension to our practice, not just in Bengaluru, but nationally and especially in Southern India. HSA cultivates an environment that encourages and rewards leadership, and we look forward to supporting and helping Chinmay to leverage on and synergistically grow his demonstrated entrepreneurial successes, within the HSA structure."
