HCL Technologies said on Wednesday that it has acquired Wolfsburg-based IT and engineering services provider, HD International Group. The acquisition will give HCL a foothold in Germany. This landmark deal sees HCL attain significant in-country front office and delivery capabilities. It will further enhance the companys domain expertise in the global automotive sector, it said in a statement.
The HD International Group is one of the largest IT service providers in the German automotive industry, and operates in over 20 locations globally including in countries such as Germany, the USA, the Czech Republic and Poland.
The company however did not disclose the terms of the deal.

HDs existing delivery center in Gifhorn, Germany, will become part of HCLs global delivery footprint and will focus on IT and engineering services both in Germany and globally.
