Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood actress has put money into Drum Foods International Pvt. The actress has not disclosed the investment amount yet and will be seen endorsing the brand as per the strategic partnership.
According to the strategic partnership, Padukone will possess equity in the company. The investment deets of the actress have not shared by the company.
The food making company will employ the investment in developing new products and entering new cities, the company said in its statement, as reported by the Indian daily news, Money Control.
The food product, Epigamia was launched in the market in 2015 and is presently available in 20 stock keeping units under various heads such as mishti doi, Greek yoghurt, artisanal curd and snack pack. The company is aiming to expand its footprint in 25 cities.
KA Enterprises was a financial advisor in the Series C funding of Drum Foods. Besides the Bollywood actress, other investors have also funded the companyDanone (a French company), Verlinvest (a Belgian company) and DSG consumer parts (an Asian company).
