Citreon Is Being Chosen For Launching Localized Vehicles In India, Apprises Groupe PSA

Groupe PSA, a French automobile company, chooses Citroen brand for launching local vehicles in India.

Groupe PSA, a French automobile company, has collaborated with Citroen brand for its upcoming India foray. On Tuesday, the company proclaimed that it would launch the first locally produced automobile after the cessation of 2021 following the release of production of power trains.

On Tuesday, the automobile company apprised, Citron is Groupe PSA's chosen-brand for the Indian market and its range meets future industry norms and customers expectations. as reported by Groupe PSA.

At the time of presenting financial results of FY 2018 and exhibiting its strategic plan, Push-To-Pass, in FY19-21, the chairman of the managing board, Carlos Tavares, apprised that the automobile company plans to foray in new markets and proclaimed that the company has chosen Citroen brand to opt-in in the Indian market.

With the synergy of two companies, the sales of Citroen International will spike with localized conventional cars from the domestic Indian market.

Groupe PSAs India project was proclaimed as the element of the Push-to-Pass plan and commenced at the onset of 2017 after signing two agreements with CK Birla Group. The company aims to be Indian in India, create automobiles and power trains in Tamil Nadu province so as to beget a stage of the art technology for a new eco-friendly range, as reported by the Indian daily newspaper, The Economic Times.

Emmanuel Delay, Executive Vice-President and Head of Asia-Pacific region, said, This project means to be fully integrated in India with a comprehensive eco-system including local production of vehicles and powertrains, distribution of vehicles and services as well as procurements for the whole Group. Todays milestone represents a significant step to meet customers expectation in India soon. as reported by the Indian daily newspaper, The Economic Times.
