The Indian startup, Uniphore Software Systems has obtained $38 million in Series C round from investors. The US-based investment firm, March Capital Partners has led the funding round of AI firm, Uniphore Software, according to media reports.
Other investors, who had partaken in the fund, were National Grid Partners, Patni Wealth Advisors, Sistema Asia Fund and existing investor, Chiratae Ventures, the reports stated.The Chennai-based startup, Uniphore was initiated in 2008 by Ravi Saraogi and Umesh Sachdev, alumni of Jaypee University of Information Technology.
The startup company informs that it offers a set of SAAS products focusing on conversational analytics, assistants and conversational security, among others.
In 2017, a 10 per cent stake of Uniphore was acquired by John T Chambers, then-executive chairman of Cisco Systems. The existing investors IIFL and IDG Ventures had also partaken in Series B round of funding.
Besides this, Uniphore has obtained money from Indian Angel Network (IAN), YourNest Angel Fund, Ray Stata (American Businessman) and Kris Gopalakrishnan, Infosyss co-founder. In 2016, the startup obtained $2 million in a bridge round, which was carried out by IDG Ventures.
