Artha Venture has invested $500,000 in Daalchini Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs eponymous vending machines, according to a media report.

The company, Daalchini Technologies said, it will use the fresh funding to expand its product range and improve its logistical services as well as strengthen its brand identity and recruit a management team.

The company was solving the issue of providing healthy meals to corporate employees at affordable prices. Co-founder of Daalchini, Prerna Kalra told the daily news, VC Circle.

It is also providing home cooks with a specialized distribution channel and predictable demand for their services Kalra added.

The company founded by Vidya Bhushan and Prerna Kalra said customer can select the food from the nearest kiosk.

The company was founded by Vidya Bhushan, alumni of IIM Ahmedabad and Prerna Kalra, alumni of IMT Ghaziabad. Earlier on, Kalra worked as a general manager at Paytm Payments Bank whilst Bhushan worked as a product manager in Paytm. Currently, their founded company has nearly 70 kiosks across Delhi NCR, which are rendering meals to more than 40 corporate clientele.
