PadUp Mentee startup, Ameliorate Biotech has lately unveiled that it had raised INR 2 crore as an angel investment for its product, ASSURED. The product is widely employed for ascertaining malaria, dengue and chikungunya, reported TechStory.
The investment had come from likes of PadUp, LetsVenture, Vinners, SINE IIT Bombay and DERBI.
"ASSURED will definitely contribute immensely in the nations fight against dengue, malaria, and chikungunya by providing early detection. The money raised will help us in concluding the clinical trials efficiently and in subsequent commercialization of the kits," Dr Rashbehari Tunga, CEO and Co-founder of Ameliorate, told the cited media agency.
"Ameliorate is a perfect example of how scientific research can be leveraged to bring in disruption to solve real-life problems," Pankaj Thakar, Co-founder and Chief Mentor of PadUp, told the cited media agency.
ASSURED is essentially a patented kit that can find out the cited three mosquito borne ailments on the first day of symptom, within 10 minutes.
Rashbehari Tunga and Binita Shrivastava Tunga was founded by the company when they lost their eleven-year-old niece due to dengue. As a result, the duo planned to work on creating ASSURED, in a bid to provide low-cost diagnostics.
