Tech Sector Transforming Atmosphere with Social Good Solutions

For a long time, the Indian Technology sector is using tech to form social good solutions. In the pandemic, various companies have engaged their employees to form impact solutions. According to a report by Nasscom, more than 90 per cent of the established companies consider technology for social good "extremely important" from a strategic perspective of their company.
The companies are now giving equal focus to 'Tech for Good Strategy'. They are aligning it with other organisational objectives. At present, nearly 66.38 per cent companies are combining Tech for Good goals with their company's strategies.
In this atmosphere, companies address local issues instead of concentrating on bigger global issues. Two core areas that play a pivotal role in the company’s tech alignment are employee engagement and Innovation quotient.
As per the cited report, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has indirectly stimulated 53 per cent companies (respondents) to align their 'Tech for Good' with the SDGs. However, with less than a decade remaining to achieve the goals, this number needs to go higher in the coming year.
The country's tech sector has access to the best futuristic technologies. The cited report informed that various frontier technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Big Data, and Cloud are being used to form social impact solutions.
In recent times, web-based apps and software apps are going to dominate while mobile apps are following behind. It is stated that merely around 50 per cent companies are employing Hardware-based technologies whilst most organisations are concentrating on forming software solutions.

Education sector is the topmost niche wherein nearly 56.9 per cent of companies are offering Tech for Good solutions. Livelihood is second place with 50.43 per cent of companies developing solutions. It is also revealed that education is an advantageous sector as increased CSR spends amid all sectors.
Other sectors - healthcare, environment and accessibility receive Tech for Good solutions with 40-39 per cent of companies. It is a positive attribute as the solutions are equally rendered in major sectors. Disaster Management, having 35 per cent companies, holds the smallest share offering technology resources towards.
