YUM! Brands KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell Sales Rise in India

Yum! brands owner of brands KFC, Pizza Hut & Taco bell shows positive response by increase in sales in Q1.

Yum Brands Inc. shows growth in system sales for the owned brands outlets in India named KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in the first quarter of this year.

The food retail brands Pizza Hut raises 8% and KFC raises 9% in the first quarter of FY17 as compare same quarter last year. But, globally the company has reported a decline of 1%.

Rahul Shinde, MD of KFC India, said, The April-June 2017 quarter is our fourth consecutive quarter of positive system sales growth, and we are happy to share that we have posted a 9% system sales growth. We shall continue to focus on our core products, innovation and value to sustain this positive momentum.

Rivals like Dominos Pizza and Dunkin Donuts brands which operate under Jubilant Foodworks Ltd also reported 6.5% sale raise in the first quarter of FY17 and the revenue generated is posted with raise of 11.5% to 678.8 crore.

In India, Yum! Brands reported consecutive growth for the fourth quarter. In last quarter FY16-17, the company reported 2% growth in India.
